PESHE

Here you’ll find some of my works that didn’t make it into the main section of the site. To avoid visually overloading the primary gallery, I decided to “hide” them here.

Classic Photography

I’ve explored many genres of photography, and architectural photography is one of them. To me, architecture is poetry set in stone — and it’s a real pleasure to capture it through the lens, to read its rhythms and forms. The works presented here date back to 2008–2009, a period when I was just beginning to find my voice as a photographic artist. My work looks quite different now, but my love for architecture remains — it continues to inspire me.

First

These photographs belong to my early body of work. They are valuable to me as my first steps in the search for a visual language.

My creative pseudonym, “Peshe,” emerged during my studies at the Stroganov Academy. It was also there that my friends and I started a photo project called “Fortochka.” That’s when my serious passion for photography began. We shot together, developed film, and organized exhibitions of our work.

«Carnivorous grass»

"Over time, this system expanded, covering slopes, ravines, and cliffs like a fabric woven from light and leaves. The symbiosis of butterflies and carnivorous plants evolved into something greater — a living, biological city: breathing, growing, and aware of itself. By day, it appears as an endless blooming field, swaying with the breath of the earth. By night, it glows with a soft inner light, pulsing like the heart of an ancient organism hidden in the shadows of the Amazon rainforest."

«The Swamp Dweller»

Our baggage of primal fears and superstitions stretches back millions of years. In my new work, I play with one of them — “The Swamp Dweller.” Yes, he’s frightening, but I made friends with him while creating this piece. The theme of loneliness is something we all understand — but what must it feel like for someone so terrifying? Fear lives only in our minds, while the world is rich with forms and images. Not every monster is a monster at heart. This was beautifully proven by Nastenka in the fairy tale The Scarlet Flower.

Digital Art.

Our world is rapidly changing, and artificial intelligence is taking over more and more areas of our lives — the creative sphere is no exception. Today, it is possible to generate an image, write a text, or create an entire film in mere seconds. Although I work in digital art, I consciously choose not to use AI in my creations. For me, as an artist, it is important to maintain honesty with myself and with my audience. I am confident that the motivation to create and craft by one’s own hand will never run dry. As long as we are capable of feeling, questioning, dreaming, believing, doubting, and seeking — art will live on.

In the work “Gulf Stream”, the viewer is presented with a deeply allegorical scene where Christian and Hermetic symbolism intersect, infusing the composition with the sacred meaning characteristic of Renaissance art. The beluga whale does not merely swim through the sky — it is reflected within it, creating a connection between the earthly and the heavenly (the pre-eternal world). This motif relates to the early Christian symbol of the fish, representing chosenness, secret knowledge, and eternal life. In the foreground stands a shepherd leading a flock of sheep. Unaware of the mystical event unfolding above him, he is nonetheless inevitably touched by the rays of light emanating from the beluga — akin to the radiance of the Transfiguration (the Tabor Light) — that uncreated light by which Christ was transfigured on Mount Tabor (Matthew 17:2). Here, light is not a mere physical phenomenon but an iconographic principle: it transforms space, revealing the Divine within it. The folds of the snow-white chiton transform into wave-like structures, enhancing the dynamic flow and evoking a sense of spiritual breath passing through matter. Before the shepherd lies a fork in the road, an allusion to the existential choice of one’s path. The title “Gulf Stream” acquires a multilayered meaning here. It is not merely a geophysical current warming Europe. It becomes a flow of Divine warmth and love, capable of warming the coldness of human existence — a symbol of the hope for Peace.
